Although few (if any) Aerosmith fans rank Rock In A Hard Place as Aerosmith's best, many consider this album as one that has been unfairly cast aside. With new guitarists Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay taking over for Joe Perry and Brad Whitford it is easy to discount it as not a real Aersomith album.
Rock In A Hard Place may lack the huge single that becomes a radio staple the truth is that track for track it is a very solid record that still hold up and doesn't wear thin after a few listens. Even after the original lineup reunited Lightning Strikes was part of the set list for the Done With Mirrors and Permanent Vacation tours. Joe Perry is even rumored to have said he wish he wrote the riffs for Lightning Strikes. So if was good enough for Joe Perry you might do yourself a favor and find a copy of Rock In A Hard Place and listen to it front to back a few times. You will be pleasantly surprised.

For Those About To Rock
Released in November of 1981 For Those About To Rock was very much part of the hard rock landscape in 1982. The album was certified Gold and Platinum in January of 1982 and AC/DC toured much of the world throughout the year.
Back In Black maybe the album that goes down in history but For Those About To Rock did a lot of damage in its day. AC/DC still ends every show with the title track so it has stood the test of time.
